Baptism is one of two ordinances of the church, instructed by Jesus (the other ordinance is communion).
The act of baptism is symbolic – it is a visual display of the Gospel – the Good News of Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (learn more here). Baptism is also a public declaration that a person has believed in and now belongs to Jesus because of the Gospel.
At TCC, a person who has professed belief in the Gospel and is being called by God to become a member of the church may be baptized.
